EVERY YEAR WE HAVE A GLADIATOR CUP.
EVERY YEAR WE THINK UP A CRAZY NEW WAY TO PLAY IT.
THIS YEAR WE WILL BE PLAYING SPEEDBALL ON ONE SIDE OF THE ARENA AND CAPTURE THE
FLAG
IN THE VILLAGE SIDE OF THE ARENA.
WE WILL BE DOING SIX EVENTS ALL THREE WEEKS APART, ON SUNDAY... LATE AFTERNOON-EVENINGS.
EACH EVENT WILL HAVE A BEARING... ON THE
NEXT TOURNAMENT... SO DOING WELL, MAY OR MAY NOT
HELP YOU IN SUBSEQUENT TOURNAMENTS IN THE LINE-UP... AND JOINING UP LATE IS
BETTER THAN NOT
AT ALL... AND TEAMS WILL NOT BE PENALIZED FOR TOURNAMENTS THEY CAN'T SHOW UP
FOR... MAYBE.
ARE WE BEING VAGUE ENOUGH ? GOOD... THE WAY IT SHOULD BE FOR A GLADIATOR
CUP.
EACH TEAM WILL HAVE 3 PLAYERS. THE
FORMAT FOR THE SPEEDBALL COURT WILL BE FAIRLY NORMAL
RULES WITH SOME TIMING ISSUES.... OVER-DOMINATION OF PLAY (LIKE YOU P'OWNED YOUR
OPPONENTS)
WILL HAVE SOME REPERCUSSIONS... AS THE RULES FOR GAMES IN THE VILLAGE WILL BE
DEPENDENT ON
HOW YOU PLAYED THE SPEEDBALL PORTION OF THE EVENT.
EXPECT THE RULES TO BE JUST ABOUT AS
HILARIOUS AS LAST YEARS EVENT....
WE WILL BE POSTING THE OFFICIAL RULES BY JANUARY 31ST
REGISTRATION: Each individual will sign up WITH TWO others as a team. Must have a team name at time of sign-up.
PRICING: The cost for entrance will be $60 TO $90 PER TEAM... depending on how much advance the registration is... this will include air, Co2 and any basic rental gear required. ( mask/marker/jacket ). The cost will be $20 + hst / 500 paintballs. Players may buy as much paint as they wish but, again, only in bags of 500. X-O spectrum
FORMAT: TO BE ANNOUNCED.
MARKERS: Any marker is allowed, but it MUST be on semi-automatic at all times. Any person using their own marker is responsible for maintaining their velocity at 250 fps or lower, and for the general care of it.
INFRACTIONS/PENALTIES: TO BE ANNOUNCED.
BUNKERING: TO BE ANNOUNCED.
PRIZES: FREE ENTRANCE INTO THE FOLLOWING EVENT DATE & FINAL PRIZES TO BE ANNOUNCED.
FOOD: We will have the SNACKBAR open ! Home-made Chili, burgers, dogs and more !
SPECTATORS: Come on in and cheer on the players! This event is for fun, and the more, the merrier.
